Abstract:

We address the Wagner-Whitin model in the presence of a typical product lifecycle demand pattern, composed of three phases: growthmaturity and decline.

Expressing lifecycle demand as a trapezoid, we improve the well-known Part-Period-Balancing method in solution quality.
