Abstract The main purpose of the study is to discuss the application of theory X and Y in classroom management, by explaining the meaning of motivation, theory X and Y and applying theory X and Y motivation in classroom management. It also focuses on the characteristics of theory X and Y and how to manage upwards theory X boss in any organisation. The paper also summarised the application of theory X and Y in classroom management and also provided useful suggestions.
