Abstract
This paper presents a design of experiment model to optimize quality characteristics of a textile product. In particular, an experimental design is set up to determine the most significant factors that affect a selected quality characteristic of a textile product.
A regression equation is developed to be used as an indicator for the number of defects in the textile product.
The model is then used to minimize the number of defects by adjusting the related variables or the factors.
The approach presented in this paper can be utilized in textile industry to model and analyze quality related problems.
